MBCambodia Holds Grand Opening Event to Celebrate as a Commercial Bank
PHNOM PENH: MB Bank (Cambodia) Plc. or MBCambodia hosted the Grand Opening event on 27th February, 2023 to celebrate the official launch of its services as a fully-functioning commercial bank in Cambodia.
To mark the occasion, a delegation of high-ranking officials and other key stakeholders gathered at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra for a host of activities to celebrate the launch, and the event was presided over by:
- H.E Chea Chanto, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia
- H.E. Nguyen Huy Tang, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia
- Mr. Luu Trung Thai, Vice President, CEO of MB
- Mr. Dinh Quang Huy, Chairman of Board of Director, MBCambodia
“To celebrate this major milestone in MB’s expansion into Cambodia, we hosted a grand opening ceremony that marks the start of our fruitful journey as a fully-fledged commercial bank in the Kingdom. This not only presents the opportunity for us to raise a celebratory glass with our partners and thank them for their support, but to also introduce MBCambodia and our products,” said Mr. Luu Trung Thai, CEO of MB.
Established in Cambodia since 2011 as a sub-branch, today MBCambodia operates as a commercial bank with a long-term vision to provide the customers with variety of banking services. MBCambodia main products and services include retail banking for individuals, and corporate banking for entities in Cambodia.
H.E Chea Chanto, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia said that, “MB Bank (Cambodia) will participate in a true and fair competition with other banks and financial institutions and also bringing more business experience, modern technology, innovation and a variety of new financial products to meet the needs of customers as well as in the future and contributing to the development of banking and financial markets of Cambodia.”
With digital capacity and expertise from the MB Group, MBCambodia will introduce digital banking services, delivered safely and securely in this ever-increasing digital world to customers in Cambodia.
“As we rapidly enter the digital era, our main focus is on offering convenience through innovative digital banking technologies. Our aim is to provide modern banking services for individuals, institutions and enterprises throughout Cambodia,” added Mr. Luu Trung Thai.
On 25th February, 2023, MBCambodia also celebrated the launching of its Head Office located at #146 (Keystone Tower), Preah Norodom Blvd, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Its Ou Russie Branch located at #439, Preah Monivong Blvd (St.93), Sangkat Boeung Prolit, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The bank operates from 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Mondays to Fridays.
