Phnom Penh, Cambodia – June 4, 2025 – MBCambodia Public Bank Limited (MBCambodia) was honored to welcome General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense, during an official working visit to the bank's Head Office in Phnom Penh. 

This visit was part of a broader series of diplomatic and cooperative activities planned for 2025 between the Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and Cambodia. General Nguyen Tan Cuong led a high-level military delegation on an official mission to Cambodia from June 03 to June 06, reflecting the continued strengthening of bilateral defense and economic ties between the two countries.

On the afternoon of June 4, General Nguyen Tan Cuong and his delegation toured MBCambodia’s Head Office, where they were introduced to the bank’s innovative digital initiatives, including the newly launched features of the MyBank App and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) designed to enhance customer experience.

During the visit, MBCambodia’s Board of Management presented updates on the Bank’s performance and ongoing contributions to Cambodia’s financial sector. General Nguyen Tan Cuong greatly appreciated MBCambodia’s achievements, commending the bank’s growing presence in the Cambodian market. He noted that MB’s international expansion, particularly through MBCambodia, reflects the Group’s robust capacity and reputation. It showcases MBGroup’s strategic commitment to international integration and economic cooperation, supporting Vietnam’s broader defense diplomacy initiatives.

The General also emphasized the vital role of MBCambodia’s leadership and staff in upholding the values of professionalism and cultural diplomacy. He encouraged all employees to act as ambassadors of their nations, promoting corporate values and contributing to deepening friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

In response, Colonel Tran Minh Dat, Deputy General Director of Military Bank (MB), reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to the guidance offered by General Nguyen Tan Cuong. He emphasized that MB and MBCambodia will incorporate the General’s directives into their 2025 action plan and future development strategies.
