Job Description

Portfolio Monitoring & Early Warning

  • Monitor the credit quality and performance of MBCambodia’s overall credit portfolio, including sector/segment analysis, delinquency trends, restructuring migration, NPL formation, and collateral status.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain the Early Warning Indicators (EWI) / Early Warning System (EWS) to proactively identify high-risk accounts and emerging portfolio vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct deep-dive reviews on high-risk accounts, restructured exposures, and potential watchlist customers.

Collection Strategy & Recovery Oversight

  • Develop collection and recovery strategies for restructured and NPL cases based on portfolio behavior, customer financial health, business recovery abilities, and macroeconomic factors.
  • Track and assess the implementation of collection actions by Business Units and the Debt Collection Center; provide recommendations to strengthen effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with Debt Collection Center, Business Units on collateral enforcement, legal action status, and repayment plans.

Reporting & Dashboard

  • Prepare the credit risk dashboard, compliance report, and management reports, ensuring alignment with the NBC guidelines and internal policies.
  • Provide timely and accurate analyses for senior management, including scenario updates and portfolio risk migrations.
  • Implement credit risk limit monitoring and early warning reporting.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support system enhancement initiatives related to credit monitoring, MIS, analytics, and automation.
  • Support internal/external audits and regulator reviews by providing portfolio risk analysis and relevant documentation.
    • Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager/CRO.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in credit risk management, portfolio analytics, credit appraisal, internal audit, or banking-related roles.
  • Experience in restructuring, collections, debt recovery, or NPL analysis is an advantage.
  • Experience with MIS reporting, data analytics, and dashboards (Power BI/Excel) is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret financial assessments and customer business models.
  • Understanding of credit lifecycle, restructuring mechanisms, delinquency flow, and collateral enforcement processes.
  • Good knowledge of NBC regulations, credit classification rules, and risk management guidelines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong communication skills in Khmer and English (both spoken and written). Vietnamese language ability is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
